Have you ever noticed that whenever the doorbell rings on TV, dogs everywhere go crazy and run to the door? I mean, they could be sleeping soundly, but the moment that doorbell sound effect comes on, they’re up and at ’em! It’s like they’re thinking, “Oh boy, oh boy, someone’s here to play with me! Wait, no one’s here? Oh well, I guess I’ll just go back to sleep.”I can only how disappointed those poor pups must be when they realize it was all a false alarm. Maybe we should start a petition to add a disclaimer to TV shows that warn dogs that the doorbell ringing is just a sound effect and not a real visitor. Think of all the confused and disappointed doggos we could save!
